20th Century Italian Silver 800 Barocco Wall Mirror
About the Item
Gorgeous mirror in solid 800 silver made in Milan - Italy in the mid-1950s.
The mirror was masterfully embossed and chiselled with scrolls, shells and flowers, typical of the Baroque style.
The finish is two-tone glossy and with burnished parts to highlight the craftsmanship of the handwork.
The frame of the mirror is perforated, thus making sure that there are spaces in the upper part with the mirror in sight.
Being of very important dimensions, the same requires a large, prestigious and at the same time refined setting.
The back is finished in wood covered with amaranth velvet.
The mirror is lacquered with an antioxidant product.
Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war.
A great many high-quality silverware was born where exceptional pieces were produced that now decorate the most prestigious houses.
