20th Century Italian Sterling Silver Table with Silver Vase and Matching Dish
About the Item
Exceptional table with vase and plate in solid silver composed of:
20th century Italian silver table. Top is in brown Slab Fossil American Sequoia
The table base is in solid silver 925°°/°°° in Italian Baroque style bearing the typical embossed and chiseled shells, with three layers of leaves and ovules. The central section, with embossed shiny round elements of two different diameters, is the fruit of the chisel. The upper section, bearing the table surface is, moreover, embossed and chiseled with shells of greater dimension to create a juxtaposition with those at its base. The table surface is made from a slab of fossilized American sequoia 205/255 million years old.
Measures: Height 27.56 in. (70 cm), diameter 34.26 in. (87 cm)
Big vase in solid silver 800°°/°°° with shaped round body embossed, chiseled and engraved with oak leaves. On the body are soldered melting made acorns. Above the handles are placed two children. The round base is also embossed and chiseled the maker was a Virginio Pobbiati creation. Milan, Italy.
Measures: Height 22.05 in. (56 cm), diameter 12.21 in. (31 cm)
Big dish in solid silver 800°°/°°° with shaped round body embossed, chiseled and engraved with oak leaves. It was made to be matched with the big oak vase. The maker was a Virginio Pobbiati creation. Milan, Italy.
