An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver two-handled tea tray by James Dixon & Sons; part of our silver teaware collection.
This exceptional antique George V sterling silver tea tray has a plain oval form.
The surface of this antique English silver tea tray is embellished with bright cut engraved stylized husk swags accented with ribbon bows in addition to suspended musical instruments and medallion designs.
The bright cut engraved decoration to the surface of the tray incorporates a vacant oval cartouche to the centre.
The raised border of this impressive tray is encompassed with an applied thread decoration to the rim.
This exceptional silver tray is fitted two thread decorated handles accented with leaf decorated terminals.
Condition
This antique tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.
This English tea tray has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
The bright cut engraved decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside are very clear.
