Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver Christening Mug, Hallmarked London 1912

About the Item

The baluster shaped body decorated with applied linear and beaded detail, rising to a flaring rim and affixed with a scrolling loop handle. London maker’s marks partially rubbed but apparently for George Jackson & David Fullerton. The underside inscribed with retailer marks for Robert Jones & Sons, Liverpool. Bearing an engraved inscription beneath the rim ‘Aurea Mary Johnston, 14th May 1913’. Dimensions 3” high (top of handle) x 2.5” diameter (across rim). Weight 3.5 troy ounces.
