About the Item

This unique and highly ornate Pair of Neoclassical Sterling Silver & Bone Tongs originates from the United States, Circa 1890. The feature a spring mechanism and are rendered in beautifully carved bone with sculptural motifs and winding natural detailing on the sterling silver handles. With silver marks and a highly usable form and scale, these tongs will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Classical to Art Deco and Contemporary.
