The tapering stem is embellished with the contemporary engraved presentation inscription 'Presented to A. C. Renton by his father on his birth day, 3rd May 1833'. The reverse of this impressive example of antique silverware features an exceptional honeysuckle style heel to the shell shaped bowl.
