George III Silver Salver, Hester Bateman, 1780

A George III sterling silver Salver by Hester Bateman, London, 1780. The Salver is of circular form, with a beaded border, sitting on three claw and ball feet. The center of the Salver has a later foliate scroll engraved decoration. The hallmarks are located to the reverse with the maker’s mark HB (Hester Bateman), London assay mark, and date letter 'e' for 1780.
