Modern sterling silver coffee and tea set. Made by Spratling in Taxco. Each: Ovoid body and stained-wood scroll handle and flat cover with tooled finial in form of seated jaguar– an exotic touch to a spare form. A smart design by the famed Mexican maker. 1940s hallmark and eagle stamp (1948- circa 1955).
Dimensions: Coffeepot: H 9 X W 10 3/8 x D 3 3/4 in. Teapot: 6 1/2 x W 8 1/4 x D 3 1/8 in. Creamer: H 4 1/4 x W 6 1/8 x D 3 in. Sugar: H 3 3/4 x W 6 3/8 x D 3 in. Total weight: 59.5 troy ounces.
