Most Elegant Silver Samovar of stunning appearance hallmarked (VIENNESE SILVER) FINEST MANUFACTURING QUALITY VIENNA / AUSTRIA, made by MAYERHOFER & KLINKOSCH Biedermeier Period ( made 1855 = so-said 'ALTWIENER RADELPUNZE' = VIENNESE HALLMARK / WITH YEAR 1855 ) SILVER 13 LOT ( = Silver 812.5 ) MANUFACTORY: MAYERHOFER & KLINKOSCH, Vienna (Austria) MARK: M & K It is the most prominent Viennese factory producer of silver goods in Austria in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, originated by the amalgamation of Stephan Mayerhofer (1772–1852) and Carl Klinkosch (1797–1860) companies in 1830. Its shop was on the corner of the Kohlmarkt in Vienna, and the factory in the suburbs. The company was purchased in 1918 by Arthur Krupp, and he amalgamated it with the Berndorfer Metallwarenfabrik.
