Rare Novelty English Sterling Silver Money Box / Bank, Miniature Cash Box
About the Item
A rare and highly sought-after sterling silver money box or bank, the like of which I have never seen before.
The box is made from English sterling silver in the form of a miniature cash box including the swing handle to the top.
The box comes complete with it's original working key and once opened reveals the wooden interior. The silver is fully hallmarked for the highly collectible Chester assay office together with the date letter for 1924. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Albert Cohen & Charles Soloman - Cohen & Charles.
Excellent condition measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1 5/8" tall.
