Very Large Georgian Silver Salver or Tray, London, 1810

About

A superb George III silver salver or tray of shaped circular form. The central plate with engraved and high relief depictions of flowers, fruits and foliage. The centre with an engraved vacant rocaille cartouche. The whole standing on four scrolling leaf capped feet. Marked to the underside for London 1810 by William Pitts. This is a very unusual and extremely attractive large salver in first class condition with no damage or repairs. Very little sign of any wear. The hallmarks clear. Very good robust construction and excellent color and patina. Measures: Height 1.5 inches or 4 cm Diameter 17.75 inches or 45.5 cm Weight 2326 g or 82.5 oz (74.78 oz Troy).
