A rare, enameled metal filter dispenser by the German artist and designer Marianne Brandt (1893-1983) for Rupplewerk. In very good original condition, it also contains original filters from the period. Marianne Brandt headed the Metalwork Workshop at the Bauhaus in 1928 and went on to head the metal design department at the Ruppel firm. An important example of Bauhaus and modernist design. Marked.
