About the Item
Circa 1900-05, .800 Silver, Franz Bahner, Germany. This 84-piece solid silver flatware set was made in Germany by Franz Bahner of Dusseldorf. The design is attributed to renowned Jugendstil and Modernist designer and architect Peter Behrnes. Fabricated in the German Standard of .800 fineness solid silver, Bahner was a prominent maker of quality silver flatware and hollowware. Because they were friends, Peter Behrnes designed several patterns for Bahner. Comprised of twelve 6-piece place settings and 12 serving pieces, this is a complete and very useable set.
