An exceptional, fine and impressive, comprehensive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver straight Bright Cut Old English pattern canteen of cutlery for twelve persons; an addition to our silver flatware sets. The pieces of this exceptional vintage comprehensive and straight* sterling silver cutlery service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Bright Cut Old English pattern. The anterior and posterior surface of each piece of cutlery is embellished with a bright cut engraved decorated border paralleling the shape of the handle. This canteen of cutlery set consists of 129 pieces: Basic Service: 12 Table knives 12 Table forks 12 Soup spoons 12 Dessert knives 12 Dessert forks 12 Dessert spoons 12 Fish knives 12 Fish forks 12 Teaspoons 12 Egg spoons Additional Pieces: 6 Serving spoons Carving knife Carving fork Sharpening steel This exceptional service benefits from a solid silver fish service. The pieces of this silver flatware set, including the original knives, have been crafted by the London silversmith A Haviland-Nye in 1974. This vintage canteen of cutlery is supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing. * 'Straight' means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year. Condition This vintage flatware set is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The Bright Cut pattern is very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine and impressive 129 piece canteen of cutlery.     An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage sterling silver Plain Pine pattern flatware service for twelve persons, in the Art Deco style; an addition to our canteen of cutlery collection. The pieces of this exceptional vintage George VI silver flatware service for 12 persons have been crafted in the Plain Pine pattern. The plain tapering handle of each piece is embellished with Art Deco style geometric panelled decoration with a stepped-down top. The posterior surface of each handle is ornamented with a triangular panel to the terminal. The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs; this is a fine feature of the service. This vintage Art Deco flatware set consists of 43 pieces: The components of this service have been crafted by the Sheffield silversmith and flatware maker Ollivant & Botsford Ltd between 1937-1941; the pieces will have been crafted in less years but due to the hallmarking system the items are struck with the date letters u and y. The surface of each handle is embellished with a paralleling thread decorated border. The anterior surface of each handle terminal is ornamented with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a stag's head erased. The posterior surface of each piece is plain and unembellished, apart from a rounded heel to the bowl of each spoon and drop of each fork.
