Antique Meiji Era Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Tea Set
About the Item
A superb antique Japanese cloisonne enamel tea set from the Meiji Era, 1868 to 1912. The set comprises 2 cups and saucers, teapot, sugar bowl and creamer decorated with fine enamels depicting butterflies, floral arrangements and tendrils in gilded copper. The teapot features a hieroglyphic mark on the bottom. Collectible Japanese decorative art and antiques, enamel ware teapots and tea sets for home decor.
Dimensions: teapot H 3 1/8 in, cup H 1 7/8 in. All measurements are approximate.
Condition:
Good antique condition. Signs of age and wear. Refer to photos.
