Set of Japanese Hand-Glazed Porcelain Demitasse Cup, Saucer and Plates, Artist

$875per set

Unique set of five Japanese contemporary porcelain espresso coffee demitasse cups, saucers and dessert plates, hand-glazed in stunning signature colors on a beautifully shaped body in red, black and green, signed pieces by highly acclaimed award-winning master porcelain artist from the Imari-Arita region of Japan, with his exceptional hand-glazing techniques and signature colors. This artist is a highly respected award-winning master porcelain artist of the Imari-Arita region of Japan. He has been invited to showcase his masterpieces in countless prestigious exhibitions and is the recipient of numerous outstanding awards in honor of his unique and exceptional hand-glazing techniques, recognizing his many contributions to this centuries old art. He is a master of Yohan technique, roughly translated as “alchemy of the kiln,” in which minute variations in closely guarded glaze recipes and kiln temperatures produce a stunning pallet of hues and patterns manifested in subtle but awe-inspiring gradation of colors. One of his most notable signature gradation patterns is referred to a “galaxy,” where the “alchemy of the kiln” produces the effect of millions of stars glowing faintly in distant skies. The artist's profile is available upon request. This exquisite set of five hand-glazed porcelain demitasse cups, saucers and dessert plates in the artist's signature colors comes in a custom made wooden case with the artist’s signature. Dimensions: Cup H 2 in D 2.5 in Saucer: D 5 in H 1 in. Plate: D 6 In this extraordinary set, the artist masterfully showcases a mesmerizing rainbow of his signature colors and patterns. Although utmost care has been taken in selecting pieces, there are slight differences in colors or the patterns that appear on the surface. This is the beauty of hand-glazed porcelain pieces.
