William IV Slatted Urn Wine Cooler

About

A finely inlaid mahogany slatted urn on pedestal and tripod base. Polished brass semi-circular carrying loop, urn base trim, and interior conforming brass pot. For table-side wine service, holding up to three bottles. Alternative use today as a jardinière. Slatted mahogany urns were also made in the early 19th century to serve as skein baskets, for needlework wool.
