Set of Eight Folk Art Carnival Punks / Knockdown Dolls

About the Item

Folk Art carnival punks / knockdown dolls composed of canvas forms lined with cotton fur supported by carved wood bases for added stability / weight, circa 1910. Whimsical double sided illustrations and, in some cases, text identify each respective 'punk.' Patina / losses commensurate with age and use (cotton loss / soiling / general wear). Very unique, early set. Slight dimensional disparity: D 2.5" Height range: 11" - 13" Length range: 6" - 7".
