A fantastic, quite unique and rare early work by famed American studio potter Rose Cabat who became well known for her ceramic "feelies" and use of innovative glazes. These formative early pieces are very scarce. This piece is signed by Cabat on the base. Cabat's work can be found in many permanent collection and museums such as: Arizona State University Art Museum, Tempe, Arizona Kansas City Art Institute, Kansas City, Kansas Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, New York Museum of Arts and Design, New York, New York National Museum of American History, Washington, D.C.
