Signed Monumental Folk Art Rouge Taxidermy Headdress Mask

About the Item

A magnificent American folk art headdress mask by P.J. Stover, signed, titled "Visions", circa 2008. Remarkably executed, the eclectic, sculptural mixed media wall hanging display is a magical, mystical alchemy of marrying different periods, styles, textures and colors to achieve a warm, collected feel that is whimsical, elegant and conversational. Rising to an impressive seven feet tall, influenced by a variety of styles including Native Indian / Aboriginal peoples and rouge taxidermy. A thoughtfully hand selected mix of rustic elements include an eight point deer antler mount, peacock feathers, pheasant feathers, furs, combine with vivid contrasting color leathers, braids, and beads to create this artistic one of a kind masterpiece. Dimensions (approx): 84" high, 38" wide, 11" deep.
