About the Item
A pair of over-scale laundry pincers used at the turn of the century by a laundress in a great country house like that depicted in Downton Abbey for removing cotton sheets from vats, (below stairs of course). In beautifully patinated sycamore with pleasing, balanced sculptural lines.
