Set of three mid-19th century maritime charts of the west coast of the United States from the famous U.S. Coast Survey project. Included are San Diego to San Francisco, San Francisco to the Umpquah River (Oregon) and Umpquah River to the Boundary (Vancouver). The vignettes were used as aids to navigation to recognize landmarks, circa 1853, 1854 and 1855.
