Steam Yacht Niagara

About the Item

The New York Yacht Club steam yacht Niagara was launched in 1898. She was owned by millionaire Howard Gould (1871-1959), son of railroad tycoon and developer Jay Gould. The Niagara was one of the largest steam yachts ever built at 272 LOA. The model is displayed in a mahogany and glass display case with separate custom table stand. Model details include lifeboats hanging from davits, skylights, funnels, cabins, doors, windows, wheel, binnacle, figurehead, boom, bowsprit etc... 65" long x 20" deep x 60" high with table (table adds 30" to height of case).
