19th Century Painted Papier Mâché Tray

About the Item

A lovely mid 19th century painted leather tray. Likely American, beautiful combination of blue and black ground with detailed painting of Niagara Falls view from the American side on one side of the tray and the Canadian side on the other with decorative details on sides. Perfect as a catch-all or for serving a couple of cocktails. Rare to find these as they are usually broken or destroyed. This item can be viewed in person at The Berkshire Galleries in Great Barrington Massachusetts.
