Neo-Gothic Style Faux-Bois Painted Cabinet from the Jura, circa 1900s

About the Item

Delightful and unusual pinewood cabinet from the Jura region of France, painted with a faux-bois effect. The style has elements reminiscent of the Gothic aesthetic. The top section has glass panes, with a painted interior. The cornice is crenellated, and a frieze of rectangles and losanges runs around the outer edges, the base, and the separation between the top and bottom sections.
