Lifesize African Male Figure

A superb African figure that would have been present at a tribal ceremony depicting an elder of the Sukuma tribe. This figure would have most likely been dressed in some kind of cloth, both of its arms articulate. The reddish coloring seen over the entire surface derives from a natural dye that has been applied over the natural wood. It stands more than 6 feet tall and would look striking if placed in a foyer. It’s a real show stopper and a wonderful addition to any collector or person who appreciates history or African art.
