Mexican Carved Hand Chair in the Style of Pedro Friedeberg, circa 1960

About

A finely detailed studio carved cocobolo hand chair crafted in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico, circa 1960. The Studio carved hand has an incised love line and life line. The artist has carved elegant fingernails and the inner and outer joint lines and folds the palm. A deeply fluted base rises into a two button cuff that is encircled with a decorative vine of incised leafy embroidery. There are two small age cracks that we can easily fill and color if you so desire otherwise the chair is in magnificent condition.
