About

This Mexican ceramic clay hand sculpture is a piece by artist Manuel Reyes. Made with clay from Oaxaca and Zacatecas, painted with oxides from the region. Done with the hand-modeled technique and cooked in traditional wood-fired oven. Inspired by the "Pochote Tree" which gives form to the pointy texture. The sculpture is a true Mexican Folk Art piece and is composed of five musicians who sing to life, love and give harmony and joy to life.

At ATENTICA we are currently focusing on our second generation of artists, seeking techniques that are in danger of being lost due to the lack of artists and artisans who still practice them.
