Rare Romano British / Celtic Limestone head of a Legionnaire, English, Southern England, circa, 2nd-3rd century. The Oolitic Limestone carved stylised head of a Legionnaire wearing a Galea surmounted with a plumed crest, having deep set eyes and twisted facial expression.
