Dondo People, DRC, Sculptured Flywhisk Handle

About

Flywhisk handle sculptured in the form of a woman with slightly bended Knees and Scarification’s on different parts of her body. She is holding a vessel that kept a ponytail. This Flywhisk was part of a Chief's Regalia. Provenance: ancient collection of Maria Wiss-Basel-Switzerland. Comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity” by Serge Reynes dated 2014.
