About the Item
Spectacular and rare large chandelier in mouth-blown “pelugoso” Murano glass and chrome-plated metal. This iconic piece was designed by Aldo Nason and produced by Mazzega in Italy during the 1970s.
Two pieces available, both in excellent condition, with no scratches or spotting on the chrome. The chandelier features a refined chrome-plated structure supporting three outstanding shades in pelugoso Murano blown glass. This technique, originally developed by Venini in the 1920s, creates thousands of tiny air bubbles within the glass, beautifully enhancing light diffusion and reflection.
The result is a striking chain-like composition in blown-glass and chrome, with a truly breathtaking effect when illuminated. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and tested, and is compatible with US and EU/UK standards. It requires six standard E14 bulbs.
An authentic design masterpiece and a must-have for collectors and lovers of high-end Italian design.
