"Anna" style lamp by Anna Ehrner, 1970s

About the Item

Bamboo and natural linen pendant lamp, attributed to Anna Ehrner for Ateljé Lyktan, model "Anna," 1970s. Attributed to Swedish designer Anna Ehrner for Ateljé Lyktan, this pendant lamp can be traced back to the "Anna-lampan" model developed in the 1970s as part of Nordic design related to natural materials and soft shapes. The natural linen shade features exposed exterior stitching and a bamboo frame intentionally left exposed along the bottom edge as well as at the top of the shade, a detail that underscores its handcrafted character. The broad proportions and diffuse quality of light recall Scandinavian production of the period, which was oriented toward warm, non-dazzling domestic lighting. Good conditions.
