Baroque Five-Armed Italian Bronze Chandelier, 1700s
About the Item
This bronze chandelier of 1700, in ancient times, up and down (see tie rod under the sphere), worked with candles, was subsequently modified and made electric with E14 bulbs and original wooden lamp holders of the early 1900.
The chandelier has five removable arms and decorative motifs and ten lights.
The bronze was melted using the ground casting technique, a Classic process, due to the fact that the molten metal is poured into a mold composed of a special earth, called foundry earth, which at the end of the process will be broken in order to pull it out. the piece.
In the vast majority of cases the piece obtained will have to undergo further processing in order to be finished to obtain the characteristics of the desired product.
Note the imperfections caused by the merger.
