Antique French Louis XIV Carved Wood Chandelier
About the Item
Antique French Louis XIV carved wood chandelier is a wonderful example of the style, featuring a boldly carved central shaft in an urn form with multiple tiered pendant below mounted to a large circular acanthus rosette. Just above the rosette is the main body of the central shaft, alternating between 8 pinwheel style rosettes and 8 scrolled arms which project the chandelles out away from the center, and are themselves lavishly carved with foliate motifs. Professionally electrified to standard US wiring, nothing adds ambiance like antique lighting!
