About the Item

Great shape and size alabaster pendant with dito canopy. This remarkable pendant of classical beauty and elegance is one of the most striking and best condition alabaster pendants we have had the privilege of offering. Apart from some truly minor imperfections to the outer rim it is of museum quality and condition. The large size makes it extra impressive and the long and thick original rope with the handcrafted tassel and 'nuts' is formed in such a way that this pendant is perfectly balanced. The current height makes this stately light fixture fit for a higher ceiling or a stairwell. It will be rewired for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and we can shorten the drop to one that is perfect for you. As you may have noticed, the former owners have strengthened the 'loops' in the rope. They have done so in an amateuristic fashion so that the three 'nuts' that go over the beginnings of those 'loops' currently don't fit. That will all be made perfect again too. We have not yet done so, because we don't know if the new owner would want us to change the height of this pendant. Mind you, this pendant will be professionally wired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage the world over.
