Art Deco Asian Style / Chinoiserie Pendant with Pagoda Graphics and Brass Canopy

Handcrafted and rare, Asian style, opaline glass lantern pendant. This rare combination-of-styles pendant is in superb condition and a joy to own and look at. We had never before seen a 1920s pendant of this rare Asian design and to have found it in this amazing condition more than made our day. This quality crafted, opaline glass shade is of a beautiful, geometrical Art Deco design. The calm colors that were used to paint the Asian tree and mountainside graphics onto the opaline glass surface give this pendant an extra serene quality, both with the light switched on and off. It is why we refer to this piece as the 'Zen Pendant'. The original bronzed brass gallery including the chain and canopy also add to this rare light's serene look and feel. They just don't make rare light fixtures of this quality and beauty anymore. To us this mixture of worldly styles and wonderful materials brings out the best of both those two worlds. Finally, its practical size makes this light perfect for an entrance, for a bedroom, for a landing or for a particular area in your living room.
