Art Deco Dark Veined Alabaster and Brass Three-Light Pendant Chandelier, France
About the Item
A beautifully veined French Art Deco alabaster chandelier with a luminous moon-like appearance and elegant brass detailing.
French Art Deco pendant chandelier crafted in richly veined alabaster and brass, France, circa 1920.
This elegant three-light fixture combines a restrained architectural silhouette with the natural expressiveness of richly patterned alabaster. The broad, gently curved bowl reveals dramatic dark veining throughout the stone, creating an almost cloud-like or moonlit effect - especially when illuminated from below. Depending on the viewing angle, the piece has deeper smoky contrasts, giving it exceptional visual depth.
Suspended from brass chains and topped with a matching alabaster canopy, the chandelier retains a balanced, refined Art Deco character while casting a warm, atmospheric glow. The proportions are particularly versatile—substantial enough to make a statement in an entryway, dining area, bedroom, or living room, yet elegant and not visually heavy.
The fixture is fitted with three new porcelain sockets for E27 (E26) size light bulbs.
A timeless French Art Deco lighting piece with strong decorative impact and beautiful natural stone character.
