Rare German Art Deco pendant light with striking UFO-shaped green marbled glass and chromed metal suspension, circa 1930s.
A striking German Art Deco pendant light from the 1930s featuring an elegant UFO-shaped marbled glass shade in vivid green tones with flowing brown veining. The sculptural silhouette and dynamic coloration create a bold and highly atmospheric presence, strongly characteristic of European Art Deco lighting design from the interwar period.
The wide disc-shaped shade displays a beautiful lime green glass with smoky brown marbling dispersed throughout the surface, giving the lamp a fluid, organic appearance when illuminated. The gently domed upper section and softly curved underside create a streamlined aerodynamic profile that recalls early modernist and Machine Age aesthetics.
The glass is suspended from a chromed metal fixture with a matching canopy and decorative finial, providing a refined contrast to the expressive coloration of the shade.
