About the Item

One of a kind, heavy bronze hallway / entrance pendant. Here is another great example of early 20th century craftsmanship, because every single piece of bronze that you see incorporated in this pendant had to first be sculpted in some form of clay. From these various forms molds would then be made so that in every single mold bronze could have been cast. The individual, solid bronze pieces would then be taken out of the molds, polished and often gilt. All the pieces then would have been screwed together, the glass would have been fitted and the light fixture made electric. In many cases only one unique pendant would have been made which makes these desirable antiques even more amazing. This classical and stunning Baroque style pendant with its amazing look and feel is so good, it would even look great on capitol hill. Some of the screws (on the inside of the shade) that hold the glass panels in place over the years have been replaced. Also, one of the little 'fences' underneath each glass panel is loose. It will not fall out when this pendant is hanging, but if you were to lift this pendant and turn it around it could fall off. Because of these two minor imperfections/damages we have dropped the price of this, otherwise stunning, pendant way down. This pendant too is rewired for safe and immediate usage the world over.
