About the Item
Our unique mobile “kit of parts” chandelier can be configured into many variations, extended both vertically and horizontally. We do standard and custom sizes. We work closely with our designers to explore what will work perfectly for their projects. Utilizing 3D models, full scale mock-ups, and finish samples, we develop the design until it is exactly what the space needs.
Cassiopeia 8: 2A3B3C Bamboo is a horizontal mobile chandelier with 8 glowing hand-made bamboo polyhedrons. The Cassiopeia Series was specifically designed for spaces with lower ceiling heights.
This piece can also be offered in Porcelain Polyhedrons.
The Cassiopeia Series uses square brass tubes to conceal the wires and specially designed joints to create its eccentric shape. Its slight, almost imperceptible movement keeps the piece pleasantly animated.
Andrea Claire's original lighting design intent was to create a modern mobile chandelier that would defy expectations by also being a unique, abstract floating sculpture.
When turned off the polyhedrons appear solid, but when turned on they transform into glowing light bodies.

Andrea Claire Studio
Andrea Claire is a licensed architect, exhibited artist, and surfer. After working for some A-list designers--Frank Gehry, Vito Acconci, and the Rockwell Group amongst others--she started her own business in 2011. Inspired by abstract painting and sculpture, Andrea developed her signature shape; the Polyhedron. In the spring of 2011, from the back of her painting studio, Andrea launched her eponymous, sustainably-minded lighting business, Andrea Claire Studio. Andrea Claire Studio has become a trusted partner to interior designers and architects all over the world. Our clients include The Rosewood Hotel Hong Kong, Jean-Louis Deniot, Robert A.M. Stern and Victoria Hagan. Working closely and personally with clients, the studio tailors dimensions, colors and materials to suit the needs of each particular space and client. With studios in both Brooklyn NY, and Los Angeles CA, Andrea’s talented team carefully hand fabricates contemporary sculptural lighting pieces intended to last generations.
