Maison Baguès attributed, Wrought Iron Gilt & Crystal 10 Light Chandelier
About the Item
This Grand Maison Baguès gilded wrought iron crystal chandelier with ten lights was hand assembled using traditional techniques in France at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. The Fashionable Baguès chandelier has a gilt wrought iron birdcage frame in the chinoiserie taste that is elegantly decorated with crystal pendants, crystal prisms, crystal beads, crystal leaves, crystal flowers, and gilt tôle bobeches with candle cups. The Baguès chandelier has an interior faceted crystal vase with crystal foliage leaves and flowers rising from the center. There are ten gilt wrought iron birdcage supports devising the frame each decorated with crystal foliage, flowers. and prisms. The Maison Baguès chandelier has a gilt corona with ten s-scrolls, suspended crystal prisms and is finished in a cut crystal faceted receiver bowl covering the console base with a suspended clear crystal ball.
