About the Item

Copper and glass pendant lights from the 1960s - beautiful pair of Danish vintage polished copper and pressed glass lamps in very good vintage condition. A charming pair of pendants, each comprised of a polished copper shade with a black band around its middle and a clear pressed glass shade. The black band are made up of thin vertical pins to give way for light to escape through when lit. The cylindrical glass shade is faceted to ensure optimal scattering of the light, and the upper part of the copper shade also feature vertical rods, like the black band, to give way for light to be emitted through. The warm shiny copper captures and reflects the contours of the surrounding space, while the black band and clear glass adds a stylish touch. When lit, the entire glass shade is illuminated, spreading the light in every direction, while the copper shade ensures that light is guided downwards and upwards. As a pair they would look amazing hanging beside each other over a kitchen counter, bar area or smaller dining table setting. They could also be used to emphasize your favorite area by hanging offset in a corner. Both lights are in very good vintage condition with few normal signs of usage and age. The copper shades have been polished to make them shine again. No chips or the likes on the glass shades. Please see the photos! All original, but rewired with 2 m (6' 6.7") high end quality, black fabric cord - for safety and beauty. Tested and fully functional. Cleaned, labeled and packed in protective plastic cover. Light source: Two bulbs (one for each light), Edison screw-fittings (E27/E26) Max 60 Watt each.
