About the Item
One of three outstanding Viennese sputnik / blow ball / snowball chandeliers / pendant lights by Emil Stejnar for Rupert Nikoll, Vienna, Austria, manufactured in Mid-Century, circa 1960 (late 1950s or early 1960s).
Emil Stejnar designed this kind of light in 1955 for the Viennese coffeehouse 'Ohne Pause Espresso' at the famous street Graben in the first district.
The lamp is in very good refurbished condition and ready to use.
It is made of brass, white lacquered metal and hand cut crystal glass beads. The fixture has 12 sockets for small Edison screw base bulbs or LEDs type E14. It is possible to install this fixture in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada,) although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity. It also can be used with a dimmer.
It works well with frosted (opal white), half gold mirrored and clear bulbs (see images).
The height of the body without stem is 13" (33 cm).
The overall drop can be customized with a brass stem or chain to any length for free.
The price is per chandelier. They are sold individually, as pair or as set of three.
