Grain Pendant 16 White & Aluminum by Ravenhill Studio
About the Item
What was meant as a warning from our fabricator in L.A. – that occasionally a trace of wood grain from the tool used in metal spinning could be seen in finished parts – became the focal point of our Grain Family. Working with a patternmaker, we create custom tools from maple boards and sandblast them to raise the wood grain before they’re used to spin the metal shades. After each run of 25 parts the tool is sandblasted again, exposing fresh grain and slowly eroding the wood tool.
A versatile size and typology, the Grain Pendant is available in 13”, 16”, and 18” sizes with a standard length 6' electrical cloth-covered drop.
Black & Brass and White & Aluminum (Shown) finishes available.
