Modernist Sapphire & Translucent Handblown Murano Glass Disc Chandelier
About the Item
This monumental and striking chandelier realized in the manner of Vistosi, boasts 84 Murano glass discs in a rich sapphire blue- reminiscent of the eponymous shade created by Yves Klein- circumscribed by a clear perimeter. The shades suspended in a diamond formation from a nickeled support, with fittings in the same material. Artisanally crafted by glass blowers in fabled Murano Italy, this fixture is simultaneously sophisticated and unstuffy, adding a splash of color and vibrancy to any material. This chandelier has been made in the same manner since the 1960s, and is therefore as versatile as it is stunning, blending seamlessly with any style of decor from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. As this is a contemporary fixture (produced in the same manner since its inception), it can be customized to the client's specifications. It accommodates ten candelabra based bulbs, offering up to 600 watts of light,
