Large black and dark brown veined white alabaster pendant light fixture, France, circa the 1920s.
An impressive alabaster pendant light from circa the 1920s. The beautifully veined white alabaster bowl is suspended by chains and a matching alabaster ceiling canopy.
The light shining through the stone with dark veins is atmospheric, emanating a beautiful ambiance when lit and unlit.
Three new sockets for E27 (E26) size light bulbs.
Dimensions: height: circa 61 cm / 24,01 in; diameter: 50 cm / 19,68 in.
It is in good condition with slight typical signs of use and aging of alabaster.
The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we always suggest a qualified electrician installs it.
