Large Italian Modern Neoclassical Brass & Satin Glass Chandelier, Fontana Arte
About the Item
A rare and important, large, Italian Mid-Century Modern chandelier / pendant attributed to Fontana Arte circa 1958. The piece features sober, yet dramatic craftsmanship and design. This elegant light features a solid brass frame and 24 satin milk glass candle shades set in multi-tier structure and in a Modern Neoclassical Style that centers on balance, order and symmetry as defining principles. It will light any room and provide calmness, balance and modernity. It stands above other fixtures in beauty and clarity of pure design.
The diameter of the chandelier is 56" and the height of the stem can be adjusted to need. The current height is 45". The distance between the top of the upper arms and bottom of lower arms is 27".
