Large and Striking Bronze & Brass Gothic Revival Advent Wreath Candle Chandelier
About the Item
Beautiful and meaningful church relic from the late 1800s.
This stunning and all handcrafted candle chandelier from the 1880s is designed in the shape of an advent wreath. When we first saw this work of religious art last week, we directly searched the internet and we could not find another one anywhere in the world. So apart from beautiful in design, religiously meaningful and wonderful to look at, that made us realize that this antique also is very rare. The look and feel is truly remarkable and the Gothic-shape, bronze 'canopy' is like the crown on top. This 'crown-top' is made in such a way that you can always turn/spin this chandelier in the position that you want it to be, which also is useful when changing the candles. On the outside of this Gothic chandelier are four shields with images that we never saw before. This rare antique looks beautiful in the daytime, but with the candles burning in the evening, the warm light of the candles shining onto the brass creates a spiritual atmosphere that is truly remarkable and it will never fail to impress. By the way, this chandelier can also be professionally wired, with either European or American sockets, for safe and immediate electrical usage.
