Designed by Toso, Massari & Associates with G. Toso, the Fairy (2009) is a clever design made from a simple borosilicate shape that folds into itself to create a beautiful ribbed core. Fairy was updated in 2017 to include four new metallic color options, which fade levels of transparency to create dazzling lighting effects as the light from the inner tube reflects off itself—creating dynamic light echoes and halos. These lighting effects change and morph as you look at Fairy from different angles. Fairy is customizable as a multipoint pendant: unleash your imagination to combine fairy elements to create brilliant floating clusters of 1,3,5,10,15,20 or 25 sure to enchant. Fairy comes in three gorgeous shapes: Cylinder (C), Sphere (S) and Geode (G). Five color options, including four fading metallic color options plus Classic transparent. The Fairy pendants can be grouped in to 1,3,5 (or even larger) configurations that can be hung either concentrically or asymmetrically. Unique to Chime is a ball joint connector that allows each Stickbulb 360 degrees of rotation within its socket, as well as the ability to sway in a gentle breeze. This flexible joint is the first of its kind for Stickbulb, which historically has made fixtures with rigid connection points and angular geometries. While working for the family business, Jacopo Foggini discovered the versatile nature of methacrylate, a material generally used in the production of car reflectors. Enchanted by the aesthetical and chromatic qualities of this thermoplastic resin, similar to glass yet tremendously light, Foggini started experimenting its use since the late ‘90s. With a machine of his own invention, Foggini melted methacrylate, and later polycarbonate, at 200°C transforming it into a filament that he then moulds with his hands creating luminous shapes and monumental artworks...
