About the Item
The Vivaldi Chandelier was created by Francesco dei Rossi for the Italian lighting label de Majo. Guido de Majo founded de Majo in 1947 on the Venetian island of Murano, an island with a long history in glassmaking. The label has always blended contemporary design with traditional Italian glass working skills, creating beautiful pieces where art and aesthetics meet function. Venetian-born Francesco dei Rossi studied fine art in the city; he followed in his father's footsteps when he developed a passion for glass and from his own studio produces both traditional and modern lighting designs. The stunning Vivaldi chandelier is totally modern in its functionality but beautifully Classic and romantic in outline. With its Baroque style and distinctive coloring, it would look completely at home in a 17th century Venetian ballroom but today works beautifully in living and dining rooms as well as in bedrooms and large hallways. The chandelier is made of high-grade Murano glass by skilled craftsmen who execute every element by hand. The Vivaldi chandelier is 125cm in height, has an overall diameter of 110cm and weighs 51kg.
